National Champion Shingle Oak
Located in the suburb of Norwood, this Shingle Oak is Cincinnati’s lone national champion tree. A national
champion tree is considered best of breed across the entire United States. Only 826 trees make this exclusive
registry of Big Trees maintained by American Forests.
The Shingle Oak stands 105 feet tall with a crown spread of 340 feet.
Ohio Champion Pecan Hickory
This Pecan Hickory towers over the skyline at 132 feet tall. The crown spread measures 281 feet.
Ohio Champion Baldcypress
Located in Spring Grove Cemetery, this Baldcypress measures 100 feet high, with a crown spread of 310 feet.
Ohio Champion Yellow Buckeye
Also found in Spring Gove Cemetery, this Yellow Buckeye is a true state champion. It stands 82 feet with a crown
point of 266 feet.
